UPDATE: Man alive after jumping from bridge into Chattahoochee River

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - A man has been pulled from the Chattahoochee River after jumping from the 14th St. Pedestrian Bridge.

Columbus Fire and EMS Battalion Chief Bryan Watson confirmed that multiple witnesses saw a man jump from the bridge into the river. Shortly thereafter, the man was pulled from the river alive. No injuries were reported.

The unidentified man was taken into police custody on unrelated warrants, accord to Chief Watson.

There is no word at this time on why the man jumped from the bridge.
